Death[edit]
In 1508, an alliance of warlords commanded by the Motoyama Clan went to Okō castle, it's aim was to destroy the Chōsokabe clan. Kanetsugu won the first battle, but was then drawn into a siege. This went on for sometime before Kanetsugu committed seppuku. Shortly before he killed himself, he saved his four-year-old son, Chōsokabe Kunichika, who went to the Ichijō clan.[1]
