Chandler David Moore (born March 21, 1995) is an American worship leader, songwriter and instrumentalist. Moore is a member of Maverick City Music[1]. On November 13, 2020, Moore released his debut album, "Feelings" as a visual album.[2] "Jireh" featuring Moore peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Gospel Chart.[3]

Early Life[edit]

Chandler is a native of Charleston, South Carolina. He is the son of Bishop Brian and Elder Jametta C. Moore.[4]

Career[edit]

Chandler's professional career began as a background vocalist for Travis Greene and Tye Tribbett. He has also written songs for artists such as VaShawn Mitchell, Bri (Briana Babineaux) and Tye Tribbett.[5]

Moore joined Maverick City Music in 2018 and was featured on Maverick's debut radio single, "Man of Your Word"[6] on July 27, 2020 which also featured worship leader, KJ Scriven on the album Maverick City Vol. 3 Part 1.[7]

Moore is a featured artist on Old Church Basement, the first collaborative album between Elevation Worship and Maverick City Music. Moore was a featured artist, along with Naomi Raine, on the album's first single "Jireh" released on March 26, 2021 which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Gospel Charts[8] and No. 10 on the US Hot Christian Songs chart[9]. The third promotional single, "Wait on You" featuring Moore and Dante Bowe was released on April 23, 2021.[10]

Moore wrote and performed on three tracks of Justin Bieber's surprise-release album, Freedom, a gospel-inspired EP that released on Easter 2021.[11]

Personal Life[edit]

On January 17, 2021 Moore shared a photo of the apartment building he recently moved into on fire. Moore was supposed to be home at the time of the fire, but left a day early to attend a church service out of town. In the fire, Moore stated that he lost nearly all of his belongings. On social media, Moore shared his gratitude that God has protected his life despite the loss of material things.[12][13]

Moore became engaged to Hannah Poole in March 2021.[14]
