Charlotte Carroll
Charlotte Carroll is an English actress, director and producer. She was born and raised in London, and is a descendant of Irish Royalty. Her relative, Charles Carroll of Carrollton, was the only Catholic and longest-surviving signatory of the US Declaration of Independence.[1]
Carroll attended the Lee Strasberg School in New York, where she trained as an actor, as well as LAMDA in the UK. She started her film career working on Django Unchained, but later debuted in Burnt alongside Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller.
Home, which Carroll supported, is a short film directed by Daniel Mulloy and won the BAFTA for best short film in 2016.[2] Since then she has been touring with Red Crayon, which she wrote, produced and directed.[3]
She was Nominated at the Sundance Anderimage, as a "Ones to Watch: Emerging Director". Carroll also opened the Egyptian 'Oscar's' at El Gouna, being the first female director to do so.[4] She works closely with the UN and is apart of the UN and UNHCR for women ensemble.
