Chartered Institute Of Customer Management
Chartered Institute Of Customer Management is an international independent customer service professional board.[1]
Background
Chartered Institute Of Customer Management (CICM) was founded by Zimbabwean entrepreneur Rinos Mautsa[2] and co-founder Ricky Harris in 2014,[3] it is present in 17 countries through implementation and certification partnership programs. The organisation is administered by a full Council, a secretariat and is headed by a chief executive officer. Each country that CICM operates in has a dedicated national council that governs the institute in that country.
Chartered Institute Of Customer Management conducts research surveys in several countries to provide benchmarking customer satisfaction index for different sectors[4][5] and the accumulated data is used by governments, regulatory authorities and corporates.[6][7]
In 2014, CICM launched a bi-monthly journal “The Customer Magazine”. The organisation runs various academic[8][9] and certification programmes[10] as well as the Service Excellence Awards (SEA) in Africa[11][12][13] and the awards have been held annually while being hosted in several countries that include Zambia,[14] Malawi, Nigeria,[15] Botswana,[16] Swaziland, Tanzania, Zimbabwe,[17] Malawi,[18][19] Swaziland, Uganda, Namibia,[20] Ghana and South Africa.[21]
