Early life[edit]

Chase Rose was born May 21, 1996 in St. Louis, Missouri, as Chase Dalton Rose. Rose is the youngest of four siblings[3]. Rose began watching the producers behind the artists and songs he appreciates, that inspired ChaseTheMoney to pursue a career in music.

Career[edit]

Early beginnings[edit]

At the age of 14, Rose downloaded FL Studio and embarked on the journey that soon lead him to being described as the producer whose "producer tag marks newfound hip-hop treasure" today.

At the age of 17, Rose broke out as a producer in his home town of St Louis, Missouri by producing 3 tracks 'Biggie Smalls', 'No Love Lost' and 'PAM' for local rapper Tef Poe. This lead to another placement with Soulja Boy when he was just a Sophomore in High School.

Making a name[edit]

By the time Rose had a number of records with several local artists such as “Nothin But Money” by Laudie featuring Bun B, proceeded against college after graduating high school, to move to Chicago to work with more talent outside of his hometown. Soon after, he started working heavily with DJ Victoriouz (Chief Keef's official DJ) which lead him to meeting Valee, G Herbo, Lil Durk and Juice Wrld.

Since then, Rose has produced several hit records including 'Faucet Failure' by Ski Mask the Slump God, 'Off Deez' by JID & J Cole, 'Nephew' by SmokePurpp ft Lil Pump, 'Are U Live' by Valee Jeremih & Chance The Rapper,[4] 'Piped Up' by Comethazine, 'We Outta Here' by Lil Yachty, 'Asian Bitch' by Blocboy JB, and many more.

Working with Emerging Artists[edit]

Rose executive produced rapper Valee's debut mixtape named VTM (Valee The Money) in honor of their collaboration on the project. Following the buzz of VTM, Valee signed to Kanye West's record label G.O.O.D. Music through which Valee released his G.O.O.D. Music debut project 'GOOD Job, You Found Me' to which Rose produced a third of the records.

[5][6]

On December 28, 2018, Rose collaborated with up-and-coming artist Lucki on 3 consecutive songs on the EP, “Freewave 3”.[7] The EP features one of their most streamed songs together, 'More Than Ever' which accumulated millions of streams by 2022.[8]

Debut Album and Collaborative Projects[edit]

Over the next 3 years Rose continued to produce and release multiple singles such as 'Trident' with Valee and 'Talk My Shit' with Ski Mask the Slump God and Beam. He released his debut album “Slim.E and Friends” which include features with artists such as Valee, Desiigner, Lil Yachty, Key Glock and Gunna. Rose also has released collaborative projects such as “CHASETHEUCHIES” with Drakeo the Ruler, 'Gimme Five Im High' with Valee, and “Caught Fire” with K$upreme.
