Christina Yang (Chinese: 楊寶楨; pinyin: Yang Baozhen; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Iûⁿ Pó-cheng; born 17 December 1989) is a Taiwanese politician. She has served as a Press Secretary of the Taiwan People's Party since 2019. Her religion is Christianity.
Early life and education
Christina Yang was born in Minsheng Community Center, Taipei on 17 December 1989. Her parents come from Taichung. She received her education at Taipei Municipal Song Shan Senior High School.
She obtained a Bachelor of Humanities and Sociology from National Chengchi University (NCCU), situated in Taipei.
When Christina was a child, she was fond of anime and used to aspire to be a cartoonist.
Social activism and political career
Christina was initially a volunteer in social movement organizations. She started to get to know fellow members when the Taiwan People's Party was founded.
On 13 October 2019, Christina was appointed Press Secretary of the Central Committee of the TPP.
Personal life
Christina was a reporter at the beginning of her career. After 2019, she became a politician.
