Clark Kelly Price
Clark Kelly Price (born 1945) is an artist who specializes in Latter-day Saint art and depictions of the American West.
Early life
Price was born in Idaho Falls. He holds a BA from Brigham Young University. He served a mission for the LDS Church in Fiji from 1964 to 1966.[1] As a child he loved to draw and even his earliest artistic efforts told stories. His parents Rex T. and Kathryn E. Price recognized his talent and encouraged him to use it. He received his formal education at Ricks College and Brigham Young University, however his deep commitment to the Gospel, his love of the West - - both modern and historical - - and his life experiences have been his greatest resources in developing his talent. He spent his early years living in a log cabin that his parents had built in Montana. [2][self-published source]
Paintings
Price has provided paintings for the Apia Samoa Temple, Nuku alofa Tonga Temple and Seattle Washington Temple. He also provided the front cover illustrations for In the Eye of the Storm and The Fire of Faith books by fellow Tongan missionary John H. Groberg.
Many[quantify] of Price's paintings have been acquired by the Church History Museum in Salt Lake City, including Shall We Not Go On In So Great a Cause, and The Martin Handcart Company.
