Classic Party Rentals

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Classic Party Rentals is the nation's largest tent and event rental company, specializing in wedding, banquet and party rental supplies including tables, chairs, linens, china, dance floors and tenting solutions. Based in El Segundo, California, and servicing 24 locations nationwide, Classic Party Rentals is the nation's largest event rental supplier.

Founded in 1985, the Classic Party Rentals brand grew dramatically through the acquisitions of a number of smaller, independent event suppliers across the United States in the mid to late 2000s.

Growth through acquisitions[edit]

Throughout the late 2000s, Classic Party Rentals grew tremendously in size through a series of acquisitions, including Dallas-based Ducky Bob's in December 2005,[1] Torrance-based Aztec Tents and Events in November 2005, Tucson-based Prime Event Group in June 2006,[2] Florida-based Fiesta Rentals in June 2007,[3] Tennessee-based Grand Events and Party Rentals in July 2007, and the complete acquisition of 523 Capital's event holdings from former Classic Party Rentals president, John Moran.[4]

2014 Bankruptcy[edit]

Following the roll-up strategy that brought a number of providers under one central management team, Classic Party Rentals filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in early 2014,[5] resulting in its acquisition by Apollo Global Management in April 2014.[6]
