From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Claudia Maria Schiffer (born 25 August 1970) is a German model and fashion designer. She was one of fashion's top models in the 1990s, and, alongside other models like Naomi Campbell and Cindy Crawford, she dominated catwalks during that decade.

Personal Life

Schiffer was born in Rheinsberg, Germany. She attended St. Peter Catholic elementary school and later the Amplonius Gymnasium. Originally, she wanted to become a lawyer and work in her father's company, but at age 17 she was discovered in a discotheque in Düsseldorf by Michel Levaton, head of the French modeling agency Metropolitan. [1]

She modeled for fashion labels such as Mango and Accessorize and appeared on more than 400 magazine covers (for example, on Playboy, Elle, and Vogue).

On the occasion of her 50th birthday, Schiffer received a Barbie doll edition inspired by her. The limited edition doll is intended to showcase Schiffer's most memorable fashion moments. [2]
