CloudByte Inc. is a provider of multi-application storage for enterprise applications [1] and is headquartered in Cupertino, California. Since it was founded in 2011 [2] by Felix Xavier and Umasankar Mukkara, it has received funding from Kae Capital, Nexus Venture Partners, and Fidelity Growth Partners.[3] It has updated its flagship product Elastistor 2.0 to 2.1[4] with Evan Powell [5] becoming the CEO of CloudByte and OpenEBS[6]

It was renamed as MayaData in December 2017[7].
