Coil: The Musical

Coil: The Musical is a rock-opera style musical about Nikola Tesla written by Bob Gabbitas and Brady Dolan. It is currently in the process of being written and produced.

Inception

The idea for Coil started with Brady Dolan when he first learned about the Serbian-American inventor Nikola Tesla. He first shared his idea with Sally Wells who started some preliminary work, but the idea was pushed back for a few months with no real serious attempt to even start.

In March 2016, Brady Dolan and Bob Gabbitas both vended at Salt Lake Comic Con's FanXperience and came across an author’s booth selling a book about Nikola Tesla. The book prompted Brady to mention the musical he was writing. Bob was intrigued and the two talked about it throughout the rest of the convention and on the drive back to their homes in Springville, Utah.

At the time, both Dolan and Gabbitas were attending Springville High School (Utah), so they met during lunch to talk some more about the musical. After discussing it some more, Brady asked Bob if he would be willing
