Common Dream is one of the pioneers of electro-pop music scene of the late 90's in Poland. The band was formed in Tarnów by brothers Konrad Niedojadło and Dawid Niedojadło as well as their long time friend Tomasz Różowski.
History[edit]
Some of the band's early songs appeared on several compilations in Europe and the United States. The trio also recorded a cover version of The Cure's epic track "Bloodflowers" for the Prayers for Disintegration cover album.
Common Dream enjoyed major success in Europe and United States at the beginning of the new millennium after releasing their debut album "Gravity[1]". The album and the preceding maxi-single "Someone Could" including remixes by top-class electronic acts Psyche, God's Bow, NoComment, Colony 5 and Obsc(y)re[2] were released in 2003, after signing a record deal with Black Flames Records. All songs for the CD written by Konrad Niedojadło were recorded in Spectrum Studio in Tarnów and engineered by Kris "Flipper" Krupa. The album closing track "Don't Say Anything" includes guest vocals by Jerzy Durał from the band Ziyo.
The album has reached the top 15 of German Alternative Chart[3] and was highly rated by the music press in Germany, Scandinavia and the US[4][5]. At that time the band played several live gigs in Poland and Germany with the guest vocalist Jakub Kubica, supporting such acts like Melotron, Silence, 1 Million Bulgarians or God's Own Medicine.
In 2019 Konrad Niedojadło released his two solo EPs "Read the Light" and "Fragile Bonds" under the name Kontaur with the guest vocals of Julia Mika[6]. Songs from both mini-albums appeared in Polish TV and radio stations[7].[8]
