Computer Transportation Services, Ltd. is an international shipping company founded in 1979 in Breda, Iowa, by veteran moving industry executive D.G. Partridge. The company was one of the first transportation brokerage firms to receive a license from the Interstate Commerce Commission after the trucking industry was deregulated in the Motor Carrier Act of 1980. Computer Transportation Services is a privately held company.

Performance[edit]

Computer Transportation Services describes itself as specializing in shipping computer equipment, medical equipment, semi-conductor equipment, auction shipping and general freight. According to CTS promotional materials, notable projects have included major roll-outs and reverse logistics for Fortune 500 companies, parts for NASA's Space Shuttle, video equipment for Paul McCartney, movie props for Francis Ford Coppola, and numerous corporate shipping projects.

Computer Transportation Services has 32 Employees.

The company began business in the United States on May 1, 1979, as Computer Transportation Services, Ltd.

On May 1, 1985, Computer Transportation Services added Domestic Air Freight services.

On July 1, 1990 Computer Transportation Services added worldwide Shipping services.

On May 1, 1993 Affiliated company CTS Air Services, Inc. is incorporated.

On October 1, 1993 CTS Air Services, Inc. awarded certificate of endorsement from Cargo Network Services.

On January 15, 2004 CTS Air Services, Inc. was accepted into the World Cargo Alliance.

On August 1, 2007 Computer Transportation Services announces construction of an environmentally friendly headquarters building.

On May 21, 2010, Computer Transportation Services, Ltd. and CTS Air Services, Inc. announced completion of a rebranding initiative. The new brand names are MoveIt Specialized Logistics and MoveIt Freight Solutions.
