Computer Troubleshooters is an IT franchise[2] owned by Merrymeeting, Inc (MMI),[3] an investment company specialized in franchise companies. There are approximately 475 franchised locations globally[4] offering computer troubleshooting and other IT related services. In 2006 it was named by the Australian magazine BRW as the number one export franchise in Australia. It is ranked as one of the top technical support franchises by the American magazine Entrepreneur.[5]

Computer Troubleshooters was founded in 1997[2] in Coffs Harbour, Australia[1] as Computer Troubleshooters Pty Ltd. From 2006 to 2008 it was owned by Quotz Pty Ltd with offices located in Northbridge, Sydney. MMI acquired the Computer Troubleshooters Global franchise in 2012.[3][6]
Nick Roche heads the master franchise in Australia, serving as its national director[2] and Chip Reeves was the United States counterpart until his resignation in 2012.[7] There are franchise outlets in approximately 28 countries[3][8] including in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Romania.[1][3] There are more than 230 locations within the US.[9]
The company provides technical support services including software and hardware support, installation, networking, security, broadband and general project management.[3]
