Continuity in Education (CiE) is a peer-reviewed open access academic journal. It is published by Ubiquity Press. It covers education theories, pedagogy, Developmental psychology and topics connected to the education and development of children and young people with health care needs.

Continuity in Education has been accredited by several national institutions, including as a "Class A" journal for academic sectors 11/D1 (Educational theories) and 11/D2 (Methodologies of teaching, special education and educational research) by Italy's ANVUR[6], as well as a level 1 journal for the scientific field 516 (Educational sciences) by Finland's JUFO[7]

History

The journal was announced in 2019[8] as a joint effort by four organizations around the world (HEAL[9], HELP, HOPE[10], REDLACEH[11]) specializing in supporting teachers and other professionals serving children and young people with chronic or life-threatening illnesses, with NAHE[12] joining the consortium in 2022. The first article of the journal was published in January 2020. CiE's founding editor-in-chief was Michele Capurso (Università degli Studi di Perugia).
