Contus Tech is a SaaS based product company headquartered in Chennai, India. The company's services are available in over 40 countries globally.[1][2]

History

In 2008, Contus Tech was founded by Sriram Manoharan, Balasubramaniyam Kandaswamy and Thiaghu Radhakrishnan in Chennai, where the headquarters is still located.

By 2009, Contus Tech launched HD FLV Player, a standalone video player that hit 1 million downloads.[3] In 2010, the company expanded its operations to other locations in the US and the Middle East.[4]

In 2011, Contus Tech closed a deal with a bank in the Middle East, initiated IoT smart city projects and launched Apptha.com[5]

In 2015, the company launched real-time chat platform known as MirrorFly.[6] Along with this, it implemented chatbots with AI and ML.[7] In the consecutive year (2016), it launched the live streaming platform VPlayed.[8]
