Adrián Hernández, better known by his stage name Coty Hernández (Crucellas Island, Santa Fe, Argentina; December 26, 1978) is an Argentine cumbia singer, politician and composer. He is one of the leaders of the tropical music of Santa Fe.

Career[edit]

The son of a father from Entre Ríos, Argentina he began professionally as a vocalist for Grupo Alegría in the 1990s. Since 1999, he performed as a soloist, at that time as Coty and the Banda del Huy, Huy, which in 2005 changed its name to Coty, the most partying. In his more than two decades of career, he made popular songs such as Soy negrero, Parrandero, El rechupete,Ese loco que te mira, Muy dentro de mi, Dime si no es verdad, Tu mayor tentación, among many others. According to him he told in an interview about his beginnings.[1]

In 2020, he appeared in the musical program Pasión de Sábado conducted by Marcela Baños. She also made appearances at the Youth Party and at the Great Rex. In that same year, her daughter suffered a violent attack after being shot by two women on a motorcycle. She was finally able to recover at the José María Cullen Hospital.

A fan of Club Atlético Unión of Santa Fe, he has as friends several players from that team such as Droopy Gómez, Mauricio Martínez and Lucas Gamba. In 2020 he dedicated a song to his favorite team.

Along with Los Palmeras, Leo Mattioli, Mario Pereyra, El Brujo Ezequiel, Sergio Torres, Juan Carlos Mascheroni (Los del Fuego), Uriel Lozano and Marcos Castelló, he is one of the greatest exponents of cumbia in the Province of Santa Fe.[2]

In 2021 Hernández launched his candidacy for national deputy for the list Creo en Santa Fe (i believe in santa fe)[3]
