Crab Chunk and The Persistent Wafer is a New Zealand Experimental music band which formed in 2016, they aim to create at least one album or EP every month. Their debut album, Bible Camp[1] was released on August 30, 2016 followed by The 24 Hour Club EP[2] on September 15, 2016. The band is set to simultaneously release two follow up LPs, "Chef's Best: Hot Mess, and Crustacean Nation in October 2016.

History[edit]

The band have not revealed their real names, instead acting as the personas of three musicians kidnapped and held hostage by the aliens Crab Chunk and The Persistent Wafer and forced to write and record music.[3] Although alleged friends of the band have given insight to their identities.[4] Their debut album Bible Camp was improvised and recorded in one night, and was well received by critics of underground music such as Sweet Dorite who rated the album 10/10, being one of only two albums of 2016 to receive that score (the other being Green Day's Revolution Radio.[5] However comments on the review indicate that the unreleased follow up concept album Crustacean Nation is preferred by the general public.[6]
