Current Climate

Current Climate is an Indie Rock trio with BritPop influences consisting of Jacob "J" Ainsworth, Reece "Recky" Bullyment and Lewis "Morley Man" Morley. The three of them are currently students in Lincoln, England where they frequently plays gigs in local pubs, they previously played under the name Border Control as both a three and four piece. Current Climate was first formed in 2019 and are still active producing music and playing local venues.

Formation of the Band[edit]

Previous to Current Climate. Jacob and Reece formed a band called Border Control who had a similar music style with friend Annan McGlade playing Keyboard. Lewis joined the band a month before Annan made his departure from the group. To signify a new era for the band they moved away from performing old material and changed there name to Current Climate.

Band Members[edit]

Jacob "J" Ainsworth[edit]

Jacob is the bassist and shares the vocals with Reece. He is a self taught bassist who writes a majority of the groups songs and has a deep love of lipstick and The Cure.

Reece "Recky" Bullyment[edit]

Reece is the bands guitarist and sings lead vocals on a few songs. He also performs backing vocals on lots of songs. He is a fan faviroute and even has a fan made song thats often sung at gigs in between songs. Reece also studies Physics at A-Level.

Lewis "Morley Man" Morley[edit]

Lewis is the bands drummer and often wheres a Bucket Hat. He was introduced through a mutal friend to Jacob and Reece when they were looking for a drummer to join the line up of Border Control.

Discography[edit]

The band has, as of writing, released four songs onto major streaming services. They are estimated to have around twenty songs however a lot of these can only be found in the recordings of gigs.
