DBKL Tower (Malay: Menara DBKL), is a twin-building government complex in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Tower 1 of the complex, with 35 storeys and a height of 133 m (436 ft), is the first true high-rise in Malaysia. Between 1980 and 1983, the name of the building, DBKL, is a Malay abbreviation of the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur), where it occupies the majority of the office space. [1]
A redevelopment plan for the complex worth RM300 million was canceled by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall in 2018 to save costs.[2]
