Raised as an only-child, Kaysen and his parents lived in Canyon Country within Santa Clarita, California where he attended Leona Cox Elementary (2010-2011) for Kindergarten a quarter of his first grade year. In late 2012, Markoff moved to Beverly Hills with his grandparents for a few months before returning to Santa Clarita where he would eventually attend James Foster Elementary for the remainder of his first grade year and so on. Music Career[edit]
Early Work[edit]
In 2015, at the age of 10, DJX Kbrokaysen wrote his first song titled "The West is the Best" which was his first attempt at making HipHop/Rap type song.
2019-2023: Saugus[edit]
At 14, DJX wrote Bleed Blue the same week of the tragic shooting at Saugus high on November 14, 2019. Markoff, being a ninth grader at Saugus high, luckily avoided the tragedy when he decided to skip his first period that morning. Kaysen's ex-girlfriend and close friends were on campus during the incident which helped spark the idea for additional songs like Ultra Red, Centurion, and Kill Me. Adding family and friend features from: The Legendary JayB, Lil HalfMoon, DJ Nasty02Nate, RedRiots, and LUX4, the 2023 project, Saugus (the album), was completed and launched on November 14, 2023, four years from the day of the tragedy.
