DJ Qian[3] (born in 1980 as Qian Dejun;[4] Chinese: 钱德君[5]), also known as Dejun Qian,[6] sometimes referred to simply as "DJ",[7] the former executive at IBM,[8] is a Chinese tech entrepreneur and the founder[9] & CEO of Fusion Foundation.[10] In addition, he also serves as the founder[11] and CEO of BitSE, [12] as well as being the creator of Singapore-based company[13] Qtum.[14]

Qian graduated from Fudan University[15] with a bachelor's degree in computer science[16] and holds several patents in the field of blockchain, [17] including US20210019849[18] and WO2019184151.[19]

Career[edit]

DJ worked at IBM for 12 years,[20] during which time he acted as GM of IBM Chongqing Branch[21] and GM of the Key Industry Client Division at IBM Greater Western Region of China.[22] In 2013, he resigned from IBM[23] and started his first entrepreneurial venture.[24]

In the year of 2013,[25] he founded BitSE.[26] Afterwards, he launched VeChain in 2015[27] and QTUM in 2016.[28] He hosted the Session of Digital Currency and Blockchain at Boao Forum for Asia in March 2017. [29]
