DPI Specialty Foods (formerly known as Distribution Plus, Inc), also known as DPI, is one of the largest distributors of natural, gourmet, gluten free, ethnic and organic foods in the United States.
The company provides services for retailers, including marketing and promotions, merchandising, category management, and in-store support services. DPI’s product line includes all temperature zones of dry, refrigerated and frozen goods. DPI services it’s customers via eight distribution centers throughout the US.[1]
Ownership[edit]
In 1990, Ornua, then known as the Irish Dairy Board, acquired DPI from a subsidiary of Perrier.[2]
On December 14, 2015, Arbor Investments acquired a majority stake in DPI from Ornua. Ornua will maintain a minority equity interest in DPI.[3][4][5][6]
