Dalyboy Hyppolite (born July 29, 1980) known professionally by his stage name Dalyboy Belgason is a Hollywood director,[1] actor,[2] producer, software engineer and businessman.[3] Ceo True High Class Entertainment and Afro Caribbean Lounge. He has produced and directed quite a number of films to his credit. He won the Best Director at the 2015 Haiti MPAH Movie Awards with 7 nominations for his film Heart Breaker's Revenge.[4]

Early life and education[edit]

Hyppolite is a native of Ihiala local government area in Anambra state, born to his parents Mr and Mrs Joseph Hyppolite but grew up with his Cuban grandmother Soya Lalane and his Haitian mother who means a lot to him. He moved to Haiti at age eight, where he attended his Elementary school College Frere Andre an all Boys school in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, middle school college Roger Anglade in Turgeau, Haiti and North Miami Senior High School in North Miami Florida. At 18 years old, Dalyboy Hyppolite joined the US Army and served for eight years active duty. He earned a Bachelor of Science (B.sc), Criminal Justice from Nova Southeastern University and Master of Information System Cyber Security and Engineering from the University of Phoenix.[5]

Career[edit]

Hyppolite started his career as a director assistant while he studied media arts at New York Film Academy. Independent Nigeria says his passion for personal development made him opt for acquiring knowledge in acting at Barbizon Modeling and Acting School.[6] He produced and directed his first short film Angelina's secret and this brought him to limelight in 2001.[7] In 2015, his film Heart Breakers Revenge (Ex Games) featuring Van Vicker, Brittany Mayti, Billy Williams, Sarodj Bertin received 4 awards with 7 nominations at the MPAH Movie Awards,[8] 2015 San Diego Black Film Festival with 1 nomination and 2015 Nollywood and African Film Critics Awards with 5 nominations.[9] and also won the Best Movie in Diaspora from the Red Feather Awards, Yaoundé Cameroon.

Belgason told Vanguard Nigeria that in spite of his accomplishments, he is hungry for more success.[10]

Music[edit]

Hyppolite grew up playing musical instruments in church. He started making beats and rapping about life experiences and struggles as an adult.[11] He told The Punch his goal is to promote love in relationships through music.[12] In 2019, his musical video Drippin dropped.[13] and trended all over Africa and the Caribbean Islands (Jamaica,[14] Trinidad, Haiti). In February 2020, "Greatest" his latest single ft Anael Jeannis was released.
