Stack the States series[edit]

Stack the States was originally released on September 13, 2010, and re-released for Android in July 2013. It is a trivia game themed on the 50 American states. The player must answer a question, such as what a state's capital, flag, or a famous landmark in that state is, or simply identify the state itself. When you get a question right, you must stack the states on top of each other until they cross a finish line. If you cross the line, you win the game and are given a random state on the main menu. You can tap on states to learn more about them. There are also bonus minigames such as "Map It", "Pile Up", "Puzzler", and "Capital Drop". Stack the States received positive reviews, being described as educational and fun.[3] Stack the States, was voted the “Best Kids App for iPad” according to the independent online “Best App Ever Awards”.[4]

A sequel, Stack the Countries, was released on February 11, 2011. The rules are the same as in Stack the States, except it focuses on countries from around the world.

On March 10, 2016, Stack the States 2 was released. It features updated 3D graphics, new questions, and interactive maps of each state.
