James Winston Bryant (born April 18, 1988), also known as Jms Brynt, is an American artist, athlete, engineer and hacktivist.
Life and career
Born in Westchester, New York, and raised in Spring Valley, New York, Bryant attended Saint Patrick High School in New Jersey and later the USMA (also known as West Point). He also attended Gannon University on a full athletic scholarship before leaving in 2011.
Bryant taught himself music production, making beats via Reason, Logic Pro and GarageBand. In 2014, he declined an A&R position offered by Warner Music Group in favor of undergoing in-processing for the FDNY firefighter program. He was runner-up in Clash of the Beatmakers in 2019. He collaborated with artists Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow and is set to release an EP with Kid Trunks in 2024.
In 2023, he raised $100,000 for charity by hacking the Samsung Global Goals app, prompting the creators to alter its algorithm.
