Dana Cohen is an American physician specializing in integrative and functional medicine. She is based in Manhattan, New York City, and is recognized for her approach to combining conventional medical practices with complementary therapies to address the root causes of chronic health conditions.[1]
Early life and education
Cohen earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 1995.[2]
She completed a three-year internal medicine[3] residency at Albany Medical Center and became board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1998.[4]
Cohen trained with Robert Atkins, founder of the Atkins Diet, and Ronald L. Hoffman, an early advocate of integrative medicine.[5]
Career
Cohen began her career in conventional internal medicine before transitioning to integrative and functional medicine. Her Manhattan practice emphasizes personalized treatment plans based on advanced functional testing, addressing conditions such as:
