Dana Parish is a Sony/ATV New York City-based singer, songwriter, and author.
Biography[edit]
Growing up outside Philadelphia, she was writing and recording by age thirteen, and went on to study at the Manhattan School of Music.[1]
Parish's first single, "Not My Problem", from her debut album Uncrushed,[2] charted at #23 on Billboard,[3] and she soon became one of the highest-charting independent artists.[citation needed] Parish bested herself, and broke into the Top 10, with the second single from the album, "Let It Go By".[citation needed] This led to several appearances on major morning and talk shows, including The CBS Morning Show, Good Morning America, and KTLA.[citation needed] Clear Channel selected Parish as their Featured Artist for sixteen weeks in a row.[4][better source needed]
In 2013, Parish's writing appeared on Celine Dion's release, Loved Me Back to Life.[5][6][7] Along with her husband, Andrew Hollander, Parish contributed two tracks to the #1 record, "Thankful" and "Always Be Your Girl".[citation needed] In 2014 the Parish/Hollander collaboration "Broken Ones" performed by Jacquie Lee, The Voice Season 5 finalist, was a chart success.[4][better source needed] Most recently, Dana has co-written songs for Idina Menzel, Lea Michele, Stanaj, Jake Troth, and others.[citation needed]
Parish has co-authored a book with Dr. Steven Phillips, "Chronic: The Hidden Cause of the Autoimmune Pandemic and How to Get Healthy Again," which was released February 2, 2021, published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.[8]
