Daniel Fernández Delgado, known professionally as Dani Fernández (Born December 11, 1991), is a Spanish singer and songwriter, and former member of the boyband Auryn. After the separation of the group, he began his solo career.
Musical career[edit]
In 2006, at only 14 years old, he was chosen to represent Spain in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which was held in Romania, performing the song Te doy mi voz, obtaining fourth place.
In 2006 he won the Ciudad Real Suena children's contest.
With Auryn[edit]
In January 2009 he participated in the boyband Auryn, along with his four friends and companions Álvaro Gango, Blas Cantó, Carlos Marco and David Lafuente. Auryn gained popularity after participating in Destino Eurovisión, the selection process to represent Spain in Eurovision 2011, placing second.
In the semi-final held on February 11, 2011, the contestants had to choose another Eurovision classic. Auryn sang "Eres tú", a song by Mocedades, who finished second in Eurovision 1973 for Spain. They qualified by decision of the jury to the final where they were one of the three best. Each finalist had to sing three original songs. Auryn sang "Evangeline", "El sol brillará," and "Volver". The Spanish qualifying entry for Eurovision 2011 went to Lucía Pérez and her song "Que me quiten lo bailao."
Together with Auryn, he has composed songs such as "Heartbreaker", "Don't Give Up My Game", "1900", "Last Night On Earth", "Route 66 (Up We Go!)", "Away", "Better than Me", "I Can't Break Up", "Puppetter", "Saturday I'm In Love", and "Who's loving you?" with Anastasia. He has also recorded albums such as Endless Road 7058, Anti-héroes (platinum record in Spain), Circus Avenue and Ghost Town (their last album together).
As a soloist[edit]
After Auryn's split in 2016, Dani began working on his solo project with the help of Spanish artists Funambulista , Juan Ewan, Andrés Suárez, Marwan and Tato Latorre.

Between 2017 and 2018 Dani uploaded other acoustic versions of his songs, before they were included in his future first album. On May 18, 2018, he presented his first solo song Te esperaré toda la vida, a song that received great reception from the public and was later certified platinum. On November 23, 2018, he published "En llamas," his first EP that included 4 songs and the acoustic versions of them.
Finally, on May 24, 2019 he released his first solo album, Incendios, with a total of 10 songs, including a collaboration with Andrés Suaréz and had a duration of 36 minutes. The album was well received by the public; in its first week it debuted at number two in official record sales in Spain.[1]
Subsequently, the Incendios Tour began touring various cities in Spain such as Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Gijón, Oviedo and Alicante, until March 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain, it was mandatory to postpone and cancel all concerts. Even with this situation, Dani continued to give virtual concerts through his Instagram account.
On November 13, 2020, he released the reissue of Incendios, titled Incendios y Cenizas, with different acoustic versions of the songs that were included in Incendios plus two unpublished songs, ending the Incendios era.
On April 23, 2021, he published Clima Tropical, the first official single from his second album Entre las dudas y el azar. This song has been certified gold and platinum for its sales in Spain. In addition, it reached number 1 on the official list of Los 40.[2]
His second album Entre las dudas y el azar was published on February 18, 2022, and debuted at number 1 on the official sales list in Spain. Its vinyl version also debuted at number one.[3] The album was produced by Tato Latorre and Paco Salazar. It has eleven songs and a collaboration with Alberto Jiménez, a member of the band Miss Caffeína. Immediately after releasing the album, he began his Plan Fatal tour that toured the main cities of Spain.
He was nominated for the Ondas Award, 2022, for being considered "musical phenomenon of the year"
