David Winnel is an Australian electronic dance music producer and DJ. He is best known for his song "Always Feels Like" Feat DLMT which samples "Rockwell (musician)'s classic Somebody's Watching Me".[1] He recently covered Toto (band)'s hit Africa (toto song) for triple j's Like a Version. Winnel has played at Tomorrowland and collaborated with Armin van Buuren.[2][3] His song "Boomerang" received full rotation on triple j. [4]Winnel provided a cover of Darude’s viral hit ‘Sandstorm’ to soundtrack ALDI Australia’s new Christmas campaign.[5]

Early life[edit]

Dave grew up in Albury where there wasn't much of a club scene, but got his start DJ-ing at his local before moving to Sydney where he got to experience the EDM world. It wasn't long until he started playing his original music at clubs in Ibiza and other European hot spots.[6]
