David Kwaku Saforo Sakyi was born on 1st August 1973 to Felix Kwabena Saforo-Sakyi and Patience Vera Saforo-Sakyi (nee: Bediako-Amoa). He is a Ghanaian broadcast journalist with Citi FM and Citi TV.[1]
Education[edit]
Mr Sakyi began his primary education in Ghana at Ridge Church School [1979-1985] and later in Malawi at the St Andrew's High School, Blantyre [1985-1992].
He undertook a one-year program at the Institute of Data Processing Management [now Institute of Management of Information Systems] from 1996 to 1997.
From 1997-2001, he had his tertiary education at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology [Kumasi] where he read BSc Biochemistry.
Career[edit]
David Kwaku Saforo Sakyi began as a missionary at the Lighthouse Chapel and later as a professional photographer. He currently works at Citi TV and Citi FM as a co-host of #BreakfastDaily and co-host of Traffic Avenue respectively.[2] Also, he is a life coach.[3][4]
In the media front, he kickstarted as a host on X FM and Daybreak Capital on Capital TV.
David co-hosted both 'Media Today' on TV Africa and the Citi Breakfast Show. At the TEDx Accra event in 2015, he served as one of the speakers.[5]
Among the institutions he has worked with include Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, and the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.
