Debby Curreen is an author and writer from New Zealand known for writing The Long Cold Nights of June,[1][2] a book dedicated to Curreen's brother,[3] George, who died in 2006.
Biography[edit]
Debby is an author and writer based in Kaitaia.[4] In June 2006, Curreen's brother, George Curreen, committed suicide.[5] Since his death, Curreen wrote poems of grief towards her brother along with stories about her and George. 12 years later, in 2018, Curreen started a Kickstarter page fundraising to publish a book containing the poetic writings[citation needed]. Later on, the first set of poems were published as a book named The Long Cold Nights of June.[2][6]
