DefensAnimal.org is an international NGO seeking for the abolition of every speciesist activity and attitude. It also demands consideration for animal rights as well as education and information regarding veganism.[1]
History[edit]
DefensAnimal.org was founded in Valencia in 2004.[2] By By 2014 it had delegations in other towns of Spain and in Bogotá, Colombia.
Its work has always been focussed on educational activism, their most regular activities being street acts and information stands,[3] talks, conferences, its radio programs broadcast since 2006,[4][5] television programs[6] or its biannual magazine published since 2009.[7]
NGO’s philosophy[edit]
DefensAnimal.org is an abolitionist NGO against any type of reform of exploitation methods being performed on the rest of non-human animals. It has always defended total consideration toward animal rights and asked for the abolition of any kind of exploitation.[8]
Also, they find a matter of vital importance the fight against speciesism or speciesist discrimination and they reject monothematic campaigns or activities showing respect only towards some of the non-human animals.[9]
Their work also involves veganism diffusion,[10] considering this as the only logical stance rejecting speciesism and taking consideration and respect towards the rest of animals.
