Deity Microphones is a global designer and manufacturer of audio equipment with headquarters in Los Angeles, California.
The company, a spin-off of lighting designer and manufacturer Aputure,[1][2] was launched at the 2018 NAB Show in Las Vegas.[3][4] Deity has offices across the world in Los Angeles, Shenzhen, Beijing, Amsterdam, Singapore, and Mumbai.
Deity also produces an educational web series, Sound 101, on YouTube.
Products
Deity’s first product was the S-Mic 2,[5] a shotgun microphone.[6][7] It had a similar all-brass construction as the Aputure Deity (S-Mic 1) but with updated circuitry and weather resistance.[8][9] In November 2018, Deity launched the V-Mic series. The D3 Pro won PV “Product of the Year” at Cine Gear 2018.[10][11] It also developed a wireless audio system that year, Deity Connect,[12] which launched at the 2019 NAB Show.[13][14] Also in 2019, the company launched a line of lavalier microphones, W.Lav and V.Lav.[15][16]
