Delhi Public School, Dooars (DPS Dooars or DPS Ethelbari) is a school located in Ethelbari Tea Garden which comes under Alipurduar District of West Bengal, India. It was established on 16th April 2018. The motto of the school is "Service Before Self". It is one of the best CBSE Schools in the Dooars region, surrounded by forests and tea gardens, making the school site very enchanting and pleasantly pollution free. The nearest city from the school is Birpara. DPS Dooars offers academic sessions from students of Kindergarten to Senior Secondary Level, i.e., till class XII. It is the only Delhi Public School in the country which is situated in the tribal belt of Ethelbari Tea Garden in West Bengal.[3]

History
Delhi Public School, Dooars, was established in 2018 by the Dooars Gyan Jyoti Foundation under the leadership of Mr. Kirtan Chettri, who is the Director of the foundation and also the Pro Vice Chairman of the School. The school was established with the mindset of providing the children of the place and nearby areas with the best faculty and facilities with the branch of Delhi Public School. Initially, the school was only opened till Class VI in 2018, but now the school is till Class XII, i.e., till Senior Secondary Level.
Academics
Delhi Public School, Dooars is affiliated with the Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE)[4]. There are approximately 35 students in pre-primary and approximately 40 in higher classes. The school also comes with well-equipped separate Science labs, which include a Biology Lab, Chemistry Lab, and Physics Lab, for the betterment of the students. Also, the School has an International size Football Ground and other extra-co-curricular activities for students. The School also contains a Swimming Pool, Basketball Court, Volleyball Court, and Badminton Court for the overall development of the children.[5][6][not in citation given]
Location
The school is in a very good location; students come here from all the nearby towns such as Birpara, Binnaguri, Dhupguri, Banarhat, Nagrakata, Madarihat, and many more. It is located near Binnaguri Army Cantonment in Ethelbari, and students even come to school from the Army Cantonment. Surrounded by forests and tea gardens, the School is in such a location that there is no trace of pollution anywhere.
Bhaichung Bhutia's Visit
- On 20 November, 2022 Bhaichung Bhutia (former captain of the Indian national football team) had visited the school to inaugurate the school's Swimming Pool, Basketball Court and Football Ground.
