Delta 8 is a brand and retailer of Delta 8-THC products produced from hemp. Since beginning operations in June 2020, the company became one of the fastest growing Delta 8-THC brands in the United States and operates an online resource center, blog and marketplace.[1]
History[edit]
Delta 8 was founded during the COVID-19 Pandemic in June 2020 and started as an online blog for hemp products. Popularized in 2020, Delta 8-THC drew attention from major media sources and cannabis enthusiasts because of its similarities to traditional forms of cannabis consumable products.
Legality[edit]
Delta 8-THC is legal under federal law and is legal in most states in the United States so long as the Delta 9-THC content is less than 0.3% and is produced from hemp.[2] This is because the 2018 Farm Bill legalized all hemp products which contain less than 0.3% Delta 9-THC.[3]
