Derek Moneyberg (also spelled Derek Moneyburg) (born Dale Buczkowski on May 2, 1979, in Chicago, Illinois, United States) is an American investor, entrepreneur, and wealth coach.[1] Moneyberg is most known for his hundreds of worldwide coaching workshops that attract thousands of attendees.[2]

He has mentored millions of people online through his programs Moneyberg Mentoring, Markets Mastery, Real Estate Riches, and through his various social platforms.[2]

Early Life[edit]

Derek Moneyberg often went to bed hungry as a young boy, as his mother couldn’t always afford to buy food and pay rent. For much of his childhood, Moneyberg’s father and uncle both served long-term prison sentences. He was once stabbed in his shoulder during a fight as a teenager and saw friends die from violence or substance abuse.[3]

Education and Career[edit]

Between ages 7 and 11, Derek knocked on doors asking for work raking leaves, cutting grass, and shoveling snow.[3] He also got four paper routes and delivered newspapers, employing friends; Derek kept 25% of the income, and paid the rest to his employees.[3]

At age 18, Derek Moneyberg got a job at a Walmart store in Illinois and became a store support manager at age 19 after asking for and receiving two promotions.[3]

Derek left his job at Walmart to begin his career in property management before transitioning into stock market investing.

In 2007, Moneyberg was invited to be on the panel of advisers for a self-help company that grew to have an annual eight-figure revenue.

He started a wealth-coaching company called Moneyberg.com in 2019.[1] Moneyberg became a millionaire when he was 29 years old. As of 2021, Moneyberg is worth over $35 million (USD).[3]

Moneyberg spent nine years attending college and holds three degrees, including an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.[3] He won a scholarship to attend Bradley University.[3] Derek estimates he has spent over one million USD on his education.[3]

Moneyberg has been published or interviewed by USA Today, Entrepreneur, Business Insider, Yahoo! News, The Jerusalem Post, and others.[2]

Moneyberg has since become a popular wealth coach in America, but is selective about his clients, saying he prefers to help those who are serious and passionate about their goals. He coaches celebrities, athletes, royalty, business people, and investors from diverse backgrounds.

The focus of his coaching business is to teach others how to transition from employee to business owner to investor in global securities markets and real estate.[3] Many of his clients have reported big success stories after seeking his expertise.

In 2021, his lowest-priced program cost $5,000.[3] Many of his clients come from word-of-mouth referrals.

Public Image[edit]

Derek is known to be straightforward and not hold back on giving his opinions. Moneyberg has argued that success is a “lifestyle choice.” His mantra is, “Your emotions are not your friend.”[2]
