Devron Brown
Devron Brown is a fintech legal policy and technology risk attorney with extensive experience serving on Capitol Hill..[1][2] He was born on August 29, 1990 in Las Vegas, Nevada.[1]

United States House of Representatives[edit]
Brown serves as Senior Counsel for Fintech to the U.S. House Financial Services Committee.[2][3] He works at the market intersection of policy and regulation for topics such as digital and physical payments, central bank digital currencies (CBDC), digital wallets, machine learning and algorithmic based credit models, and privacy.[4][5]
Brown advises Chairwoman Maxine Waters (D-CA), the first woman and African American to chair the committee.[6] Additionally, he serves as Senior Counsel for the Committee’s Financial Technology and Artificial Intelligence Task Forces,[7] chaired by Stephen Lynch (D-MA) and Bill Foster (D-IL), respectively. He also works across the aisle with Ranking Chairs Tom Emmer (R-MN) and Barry Loudermilk (R-GA), who serve as ranking member representatives for the Financial Technology Task Force and Artificial Intelligence Task Force, respectively.

Brown started his career in Washington D.C. and served as a Special Assistant to former United States Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV).[1]
In 2014, Brown was recognized by The Hill’s 50 Most Beautiful list.[8]

After graduating law school, Brown worked at ZwillGen, a boutique law firm focused on helping clients navigate emerging technology and data-related legal challenges.[9][10][11]

At GW, Brown was a Senior Member of the Moot Court Board and also served as Senior Editor of the Federal Communications Law Journal.[1][13] As a student and as an alumnus, he has served as a speaker at the law school for panel discussions ranging from net neutrality[14][15] to the intersection of race and corporate America[16]
