Dewi is an Indonesian soap opera produced by Sinemart premiered on 13 April 2009 on RCTI.[1] The soap opera is directed by Erlanda Gunawan and stars Rianti Cartwright, Baim Wong and Luna Maya.
Plot[edit]
Dewi (Rianti Cartwright) is a beautiful, innocent, cheerful and optimistic village girl. So innocent is Dewi that her fiancé wants to sell her in Jakarta. Dewi manages to escape, and meets Andre (Baim Wong). Andre, who is depressed, suspects that Dewi is Sita, his future wife who died. Dewi works at Andre's house pretending to be Sita, until Andre's condition improves. This makes Lila (Luna Maya), the woman who has been accompanying Andre since Sita's departure, jealous. Because after all this time she struggled to get close to Andre, she did not succeed in removing Sita from Andre's mind. And after Sita's departure, there was a new threat, Dewi, who looked very similar to Sita.[2]
