"Dexter's Laboratory (End Theme)" is a song by geek rock band The Scavengers featuring Japanese actor Mako does the narration at the beginning, before the band performing the song and Genndy Tartakovsky did the backing vocals. The song is famously used as the ending theme song for the television show Dexter's Laboratory, and was released as the single from the soundtrack to the show.
The original version, played over the ending sequence of the 1996 series, recorded by The Scavengers and is a catchy fast-paced new wave-flavored synthpop number. It was influenced by The Stranglers' 1977 song No More Heroes and Oingo Boingo's 1982 song Private Life.
