Dhananjay Das Kathiababa (Bengali: ধনঞ্জয় দাস কাঠিয়াবাবা) (1308 - 1390) was a prominent. Bengali saint and head of the Nimbark community of ashrams and monasteries. He is the founder of Swami Dhananjoy Das Kathiababa Mahavidyalaya.
Biography[edit]
Dhananjay Das was born in Bankura district. The name of the former ashram was Dhirendra Mohan Das. Father Purna Chandra Chakraborty and mother Khudu Mani Devi is the fourth son. At the age of about five, he was found dead in the verandah of Radha Madhabji's temple. Myrns received a secondary school and later an MA degree. Medinipur to be Sanskrit College. He then went to Navadvipa to study and passed the Yugdha Grammar Middle and Poetry Preliminary Examination. After the death of Dikshaguru Santdas Babaji, he became the head of the ashram and the monastery. He was the second Bengali Mohant of the Nimbark community. He was their 56th guru.He established many ashrams, Sanskrit schools, high schools and a college in the northeast of India and in Vrindavan. There are several scriptures written by him in Sanskrit and BengaliSwami Dhananjay Das Kathiababa College was established in 2009 in the village of Bhara, where he was born.
