Dhwani (ध्वनि) (meaning sound In Hindi), is a multilingual music band[1] based in Kolkata[2]. It specializes in popular rock, Indi pop, Disco, and Wedding Music. It rose to fame for its Bollywood [3] themed musical gigs. Since its inception, it has successfully done more than 450 live performance shows in India and abroad[3]. The band was formed by four singers- Sriram, Dwitipriya, Sarita and Naveen[3].
The most notable feature of this music band is the way it puts efforts to represent the different areas of music through a wide variety of themes, including religion, patriotism and Western and Indian [4]. Dhwani is known for their innovative approach for merging of songs, also known as mashups[4].
