Diesel Loco Shed, New Katni Junction is an engine shed located in Katni, Madhya Pradesh in India. It falls under the Jabalpur railway division of the West Central Railway zone.
History[edit]
It is one of the oldest loco sheds with more than 50 years of continuous service. Before It was known as Diesel Loco Shed, Katni but after the making of New Katni junction the shed also came under NKJ.
Operations[edit]
It is the main loco shed that holds the whole WDG-3A series of Locomotives of whole WCR zone. But now with the railways 100% electrification project it is now homing WAG-5 locomotives as well.
