DigitalRoute is an enterprise software company headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. It provides software to enable billing based on usage, such as for subscription business models or telecommunications billing. Founded in 2000[2], the company’s Usage Data Platform[3], also known as MediationZone[4], collects and processes usage data to create information for billing.

Technology[edit]

DigitalRoute’s Usage Data Platform is used by telecommunications service providers for telecommunications mediation (billing mediation[5]) for business support systems and operations support systems[6]. This involves processing usage data, mainly for billing purposes. In other industries, DigitalRoute’s software is used with enterprise software, such as ERP, CRM and CPQ systems, in order to process data for usage-based billing.

In the telecommunications industry, DigitalRoute’s software is known as MediationZone. In SAP solutions[7], it is known as SAP Convergent Mediation by DigitalRoute[8]. DigitalRoute is a Solution Extension (SOLEX) partner to SAP.
