MuchDifferent was a Swedish software development non-profit organisation,[1] founded in 2008 in Uppsala, Sweden. The company developed Man vs. Machine, a video game that once held the Guinness World Record for "Most players in an online FPS battle".

Man vs. Machine[edit]

Man vs. Machine was a video game developed by MuchDifferent that broke world record for "Most players in an online FPS battle," which was held previously by PlanetSide. The record was set on January 29, 2012 and was verified by Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition.[2][3][4] The game used networking technology developed in-house by MuchDifferent.

Multi player network technology[edit]

MuchDifferent develops and markets multiplayer networking developer tools for the Unity game engine. These tools are used by developers such as Behaviour Interactive and Jagex to develop games like Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade,[citation needed] and Transformers Universe.
