Doc Halo is a healthcare communication company based in Cincinnati, Ohio. It provides secure, HIPAA-compliant texting and messaging products to the health care industry. Some features include encryption of messages at all levels in the application, a message-wipe option in case of a lost or stolen phone and a secure private server with backup.[1][2][3] Doc Halo can be used on Android, iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, BlackBerry, Mac or PC.[4]

The company was founded in 2010 by Dr. Jose Barreau and Dr. Amit Gupta. It was one of the first companies in the field and has been called "the professional standard."[5]
