I Don't Want to Do Wrong is 2011 American stage play created, produced, written, and directed by Tyler Perry. It stars Palmer Williams Jr. as Wallace and Patrice Lovely as Hattie. The live performance that was released on DVD was recorded live in Atlanta at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on September 2 - 3, 2011, which were opening nights of the show[1]. The DVD was released on October 23, 2012.
Plot[edit]
Yolanda (Kislyck Halsey), a young medical student, is waiting anxiously for her new husband, Jamal (Tony Hightower), to return home from fighting in Iraq. Financial struggles has forced her to moved back in with her parents, the Rev. Wallace (Palmer Williams Jr.) and Hattie (Patrice Lovely). As Yolanda tries to stay focused on her studies, a brilliant classmate of hers, Marty (Andre Pitre), threatens to destroy everything that Yolanda has worked for, including her marriage. Following the advice from her friend, Rene (Alexis Jones), Yolanda must come clean and fix her mistakes[2].
