Madea on the Run is a 2015 American stage play written, directed and produced by Tyler Perry. It stars Tyler Perry as Madea and Cassi Davis as Aunt Bam. The live performance that was released on DVD was taped in New Orleans at the Saenger Theatre on March 5, 2016.[1]. The DVD was released on January 31, 2017.

Boycott[edit]

In August of 2015, SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity Association "boycotted" the tour and told its union members not to work on the show or face disciplinary action. The show was put on the "Do Not Work" list due to a contract dispute between the producers[5]
