Double Elvis Productions is an audio-first media company founded by Jake Brennan and Brady Sadler in 2018. It produces 16 podcasts including Disgraceland (podcast) which Jake Brennan has hosted since 2018.
History[edit]
Beginning in 2018 as a podcast company, Double Elvis focused on combining storytelling and original sound design to tell stories about music through first-person narrative-driven podcasts. In 2021, the company partnered with Amazon Music to distribute Disgraceland (podcast) which went on to win multiple awards within its first few seasons and also to launch Badlands, a spin-off of DISGRACELAND, which reached #1 on the Apple Podcasts charts in the History category during its 5th season. [1]
Since its founding in 2018, Double Elvis has also worked with iHeart Music, Audible, Warner Music, and Cadence, on music-related podcasts.[2] Recently they partnered with Tenderfoot TV on the release of Dead and Gone, a hybrid podcast that blended the unique gonzo journalism of host Payne Lindsey with Jake Brennan unique style for storytelling.[3] At the end of 2021, Brennan was recruited by Ashley Flowers (host of Crime Junkie) to host the show "Up and Vanished" about armored car heists.[4] Also in 2021 they partnered with Def Jam Recordings to release “Here Comes The Break” alongside Asante Blackk, a fictionalized story of a recording artist trying to find success in the music industry that also wove interviews with real-life Def Jam artists.[5]
The company is also known for partnering with smaller independent podcast producers creating music and film related content.[6]
