Dov Hertz is an American entrepreneur, business executive, and real estate developer. He is the founder and president of the real estate development, investment, and management firm DH Property Holdings. He is also known for holding executive positions in companies such as Extell Development Company and Everest Broadband Networks.[1][2]

Hertz began his career working for a family real estate business, where he managed a mixed-use portfolio in Manhattan and Brooklyn, converting multifamily assets into cooperative corporations. He eventually began working in commercial office leasing at the Manhattan-based boutique leasing firm Gronick & Karr.[3]

Hertz went on to found the elevator service company Embassy Elevator Company, which provided maintenance and repair services in New York and Philadelphia. He sold the company in the mid-1990s before returning to real estate and spending some time as a leasing broker.[4]

After his time as a leasing broker, Hertz served as Senior Vice President of Requisitions at Everest Broadband Networks. Following his tenure at Everest, he worked for Eastern Consolidated as a sales broker.

In 2003, Hertz was appointed Executive Vice President of Acquisitions and Asset Management at Extell Development Company, a position he held for 13 years. While at Extell, Hertz made deals for properties such as the One 57, The Ring Portfolio, Nordstrom Tower, and One Manhattan Square.[1]

In 2016, Hertz founded DH Property Holdings.[5] The company’s initial focus was urban infill markets adjacent to Manhattan. Its first development was 640 Columbia Street, the first multi-story spec warehouse on the East Coast.[6] DH Property Holdings partnered with Goldman Sachs Asset Management to lease the facility to Amazon. The company has since expanded to other markets in Philadelphia and Boston. Today, the company is also acquiring and renovating old warehouses for logistics, delivery, and e-commerce companies.[7]
